 Trenton Jacob Jorgensen

 Born April 23, 2012 at 2:27pm

7lbs 4 oz. 20" long.

Here is his story:

I had a regular doctors appointment scheduled for Monday the 23rd of April at 8:30am. Mike was able to go with me to this appointment, which he had not been able to do for several weeks. We arrived at my appointment and only waited a few minutes before being called back. I gave Leslie, Dr. Oldroyds amazing nurse my urine and she placed the test strip in it. Then she took my blood pressure. My b.p was very high, especially for me, 146/99. We waited a while and she re took it, it had gone down but only to in the 130's. The urine test also showed that I was spilling protein into my urine. Leslie went and grabbed Dr. Oldroyd, he measured my stomach and then we listened to babies heart beat. Baby sounded great and was growing on schedule. He then checked me, still a 4cm and no cervix change from the hospital the day before. However he was not loving the results of Leslie's findings and stated that 'today was the day'. I almost jumped off the table I was sooo happy! He left the room to go call the hospital and I changed back into my clothing. I was on cloud nine by this point. We were going to have this baby today!!!! We were going to meet this little man today!!

We left the office and headed home to grab our bags and the car seat. We also called our family to inform them of what was coming. We arrived at the hospital at 10:00am and I was hooked up to all the monitors and IVs. I needed to receive antibiotics due to my strep B positive reading before they would start the PIT. At 11:00am they started the PIT and it worked it's magic, the contractions got more frequent and intense. Dr. Oldroyd came over about noon and informed us that they would break my water at 1:00pm.

 One o'clock rolled around and the fun began. My cervix was so thin that Dr. O was able to break my water using his hand. They then placed an internal monitor on baby T's head and immediately the most intense pains shot through me, and I was more then ready for my epidural! Jeff Taylor was our CRNA and he prepped me and got me hooked up, however despite his best efforts I was flying through the pain. They had the nurse check me right after the epidural was placed and I was already at a 5cm, so they went to tell Oldroyd. I was still in horrid pain and was crying, I could feel the epidural doing what it was supposed to but it wasn't making a difference for me. When the nurse got back they checked me again and I had jumped to an 8. So in 20 minutes I had gone from a 4cm to an 8cm and was still feeling everything. I was terrified that I was going to have to labor this baby all while feeling everything!!! I have never felt pain like that before!

 Finally after some crazy pain meds and 4 doses of epidural it kicked in and I was thanking the heavens! Dr. O stayed in the room with us at this point because I was dilating so quickly. A few minutes later and they had me ready to push! I pushed for 15 minutes and had baby T out in four pushes! It was amazing and wonderful!

 When they placed him on my stomach all I could do was be in awe. He was perfect!! Mike cut the umbilical cord. I think the shock took over at this point because all I remember was feeling happy and heavy. I couldn't move a thing! They took Trenton over to be cleaned off and check him out. Then they brought him to me, and the tears began. All I could think about was Carter, and then this baby. How they had meet and how Carter's spirit was with us. I truly believe that Carter was with us that day, and has been with us since. The tears flowed as I thought about how the last time I had held a baby that was mine was the night before Carters funeral. I cried for a while and then the joy took over the sadness and I never wanted to let go of this full term, healthy baby of mine. Still don't.

 After delivery we were moved into our recovery room and from there the day pretty much blurs together. I know we had lots of family and friends come to love on our bundle of joy. We had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours because I was only able to receive 1 round of antibiotics before delivery.

 It's been a learning experience that's for sure. We have enjoyed every minute of it, even the late nights or all nighters. Baby T has his days and nights switched but we are slowly changing that around.We wouldn't change anything for the world!

Since being home we have been having so much fun with Trenton. In fact, we are creating some bad habits from not ever setting him down. When Trenton was born he weighted in at 7lbs 4oz, when we left the hospital he was down the 6lbs 12 oz. He also has jaundice. We were recommended to see the pediatrician the day after we left the hospital due to his jaundice levels. On Thursday we headed into the pediatrician's office, were we learned that in 24 hours Trenton had gone down to 6lbs 5oz. The Dr. told us that we needed to start supplementing with formula because he was down over the allowed weight. We also have to go into the Dr.'s office every day to have his b.r levels checked. 

We love this baby so much and are so grateful each and every day for him being in our lives.

On Sunday April 22nd I woke up at 1:15am with major pains, like crazy major pains. I waited and watched the contractions. They weren't Constantin, but they were strong. I got into the bath to calm things down if possible, it didn't help, in fact it made it worse if that is possible. So I got out and went and told Mike that I thought we needed to head into the hospital. We left the house and arrived at the hospital about 4am. They hooked me up to all the monitors and we sat there for a while. They also informed me that Dr. Oldroyd was out of town until 4pm that day, wonderful.

38 weeks & 4 days

I sat in the bed and Mike took a nap in the chair as the morning progressed on. The nurse kept checking me, I was contracting but not regularly and I wasn't progressing any farther so at about 10:30am they sent us on our way home.  Miserable is the word that comes to mind. We went home and wouldn't ya know the contractions all but stopped!! Ridiculous!!!! So we went about our Sunday.

I told Mike when we went to bed that night that I thought if Oldroyd had been in town he would have started me. Alas, he wasn't and I was going to have to wait my turn. 

37 weeks

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 37 week appointment, and good new was given to me!!

I am dilated to a three and my cervix is soft. Dr O said that my body is ready and that I could have this baby any day now! I was thrilled with this news!!! So now the question comes, how many days will equal 'any day'??? guess we will see!

I've also been swelling lately, and it's not going away...check out these cankles!

 After my appointment I decided that it was time I get my tosh in gear and get some of my last minute baby projects crossed off the list. So I sat down and knocked this number out! Love getting things crossed off!!! And I really enjoy this dino car seat cover! It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty great!

Now we are pretty much ready for baby boy to get here!

The latest and greatest:

I went to the doctors on Friday for my weekly check up. Things went well, babies heart rate was strong and high. I am measuring right on, if not just a little larger. I decided that this could be a true Jorgensen baby, when the Dr. mentioned the number 8lbs while we were talking about him possibly being a "bigger baby". Yikes! hah I'm thinking that, that wouldn't be all that nice. When you go from a 2lbs-er baby, then jump to 8lbs...they should slowly increase, not jump 6lbs! I am dilated to a full 2cm now. Doc says that we probably have another 1-2 weeks. I'm not holding my breath though, I'm going to plan on having to be induced. So that if I do go early I can be happily surprised!

I had another NST yesterday and things went great! Best one yet as far as baby goes!

They said that baby was exceptional during his test!!! I am still contracting, all day and night in fact.

During our test I was contracting about every 3-7 minutes or so, but they are not concerned due to how far along I am. Oldroyd said that he won't stop anything from here on out if I decide to go on my own.

In other news, things with the house are coming along nicely. We aren't moved in yet, but we do have quite a bit of our things moved in. I need to get some pictures of the process. Thanks to Mike, our families and some a-maz-ing friends we now have our master bedroom painted, the kitchen ceiling painted, the kitchen put together, the shelves in the garage stabilized, the half (useless) entryway wall removed, and the babies room 90% set up and ready! We are taking it slowly, no hurry right now. We figure we will get there when we do, although hopefully sooner rather than later. haha we will see.

My uncle Kent had a heart attack yesterday, he is in a 24 hour medicated comma right now. We will continue to keep him in our thoughts and prays, and we ask that you do the same. We will know more either tomorrow or Tuesday. All our love goes out to him and his family at this time!

Also yesterday, our niece Jayni was baptized!!! I was not able to attend due to it being in Boise, but Mike was able to have the day off to go and be apart of her special day! We hope she knows just how special she is and how much we love her!! Congrats Jayni!!!

And finally, Happy Easter today! It's been a great day! I have really been able to ponder on what this day is truly about, I think this is the first time in my life to actually be able to grasp thee entire concept of what happened some 2000 years ago. It's been wonderful, and I hope you have been able to ponder on the meaning as well! Happy Easter!!!!!!

bump update:

Things have been so crazy with this pregnancy lately. I feel like i'm always at an appointment or in the hospital or something. I have officially 35 weeks along. I'm seeing the dr. every week for my weekly exam and the hospital staff twice a week for my bi-weekly nst (non stress test). I'm exhausted all of the time, this week I have also managed to come down with a cold, which is not helping anything!

At this point, I crave sweets most of the time, ice water, basically I will eat anything that sounds good at this point. My belly is seriously large, and i'm not sure how much farther I can grow and still be able to breath. This baby likes to have one foot up in my ribs now and his head is far down. I'm having contractions, braxton hicks and the real deal! Painful!!!! I don't sleep well, or for long periods of time. I'm swelling in my feet, hands, legs, and face. I can't wear my wedding ring anymore due to the swelling, which makes me feel like people think i'm some unwed pregnant teen.

Sunday I had an NST, we went in thinking it was going to be a normal 30min to 1 hour test like it had been the past 2-3 times previous. 2 hours later we were still there. 3 hours we were still there. 4 hours we were still there. finally at 4.5 hours they discharged me. What happened??? well I started to contract, which I do every time, however I was contracting ever 5-7 mins regularly. They were painful to say the least. The nurse checked me to see if I was dilating or not, turns out I was a 1 but that my cervix was still tight. That was painful too!!! Dr. O ordered a shot in which would help my muscles relax and hopefully stop contracting, it worked but I would be someone to get the side effects, including rapid heart race! yuck! worse feeling in the world. He also ordered a UTI test to be done, which lucky me had to happen via catheter catch. I was thinking in my head, no big deal I had a cath done with Carter and I didn't feel a thing....um how in the world did I forget that I also had an epidural at that point!!! Seriously I was in tears, and shaking! Sunday night was miserable! We went home and I was ordered to stay sitting and relax. My body was in such pain, and I just felt out of control thanks to my heart rate. I was a good girl and did what I was told.

 Monday morning I woke up(it was spring break) and we headed for Dr. O's office. He did a regular appointment, including my Strep B test and sent me on my way. We left and with in minute I started to not feel good. I ended up with a massive cold; sinus junk, chills, body aches, fever, sore throat, ears backed up, stuffed up nose, etc. I laid on the couch the remainder of the day. Tuesday I felt better but by the end of the day was back down. I guess I had over did it through out the day. And that leads us to today. Dr. O wanted to see me again so this morning I went in, they did a pee test and a culture for the infection that Carter had. He also checked me again, I am a two but my cervix is still pretty closed, but babies head is pretty far down already. Dr. O said today that I will not be making it to May to have this baby. He stated that if we can get 1-3 more weeks he will be happy. After his appointment I headed for the hospital for an NST. Things went great there and they sent me home to rest. So here I am, resting!

It's hard to not be able to do anything, especially since we closed on our house on Friday and all I want to do is get it un-packed and ready to go. But I won't. I will be a good girl and sit and do as little as possible......wish me luck!!!! Sorry no pictures today...coming soon!

Baby Shower #1

On Saturday March 10th my best friend Amy Walker hosted baby boy and I's our very first ever shower! It was a wonderful day with lots of loves and spoiling!!!! Baby boy and I received some very lovely and needed items for our journey. We were surrounded by family and great friends. I was surprised how many of my family members came up from Utah and want to deeply thank them for their support!

Amy did a fabulous job hosting, and her and her sisters and momma did a great job with the delicious food and decor. I hope they all understand just how thankful I am for their kindness and love through out the years!!!

I had a blast at the shower and am so grateful for all of my friends and family members who came and/or sent gifts via mail. It really means a lot to Mike and I to know just how loved we are by so many wonderful people in our lives!!!!

I am 33 weeks today, YIPPEE!!!! I am so glad that things are moving along and that I am still 'with child'.
I went to my appointment on Friday for my normal weekly check up. Dr. Oldroyd has placed me on weekly check ups now since braxton hicks contractions are possible from here on out he wants to keep ahead of everything and just keep a close watch on me. So I went in Friday afternoon, everything was good...that is until they took my blood pressure. I've never had an once of trouble with my b.p. in fact they always tell me it's perfect. Leslie(the nurse) took it and stated that it was a little high for me, she had me pee in a cup again and tested my urine again. My pee was fine, as always just a slight trace of protein...nothing to be worried about. She took my b.p. again and it was still high(for me), so she made some notes and told me that Dr. O would talk to me about it....um OK??!! So I sat there, waiting for my turn. Dr. O came in, measured my belly which is right on schedule. He then put the doppler goop on my stomach and we had a good listen at babies heart. Baby wasn't loving having the doppler on him that day and would swim away every time we finally would get to really hear anything. Never-the-less baby sounded good. Then he sat me up, and 'the talk' came. Long story short, I was sent right over to the hospital for a stress test. Lovely, but I understood that it was better to play it safe, then end up in labor or with pre clampsia.

I headed over to EIRMC and checked in at L&D. They hooked me up to the contraction monitor as well as a baby heart monitor. I also had my b.p checked again, although they said it looked fine, I however knew what my 'normal' is and this number was higher then the past two checks that day. However could you blame me? I was alone and didn't know what the end result of this test was going to determine for me...hello, you would have higher b.p too!!!!

My nurse was so lovely to me and was totally OK answering all of my one million questions. I laid there for about 45mins-1hr, then the nurse came in and explained that Dr. O had actually stopped by to see another patient and they showed him what my test was showing. He then decided that I needed to stay for a while longer. Jump forward to 1.5 hours later and I was still laying there. Apparently I was having contractions, which is completely normal I guess. The worry-some part of it was that about ever 2-3 times I would have one babies heart rate would decelerate. Therefor starting my time over. Long story short, I was there very close to 4hours straight until they determined that I would be OK to go home. I now however have to go back bi-weekly for stress tests, this is until either labor or until Dr. O decides otherwise. The best part about this test though...listening for 4 hours to my baby swim around and play in my belly. He H.A.T.E.S those monitors and it was slightly funny how many times he literally pushed them out of place!

Don't get me wrong, I am so glad that we are taking all precautions in this pregnancy, I just didn't really have time in my life to add a 1-2 hour test into my week. Oh well, it has to be done and so it will. My goal this week: limit the stress. If 'it' doesn't get crossed off my to-do list then life will still go on and be OK.......

Other than the above mentioned story things are going so well for us right now.
We have an accepted offer on a house, which I will tell all about as soon as we close for fear of jinxing things. I also had a baby shower on Saturday, which we will my next post so stay tuned!!!

31 Weeks

It's been a while since up dating on this bump I am growing in front of me. I am currently 31 weeks and 2 days a long. I am feeling good, for the most part. I am starting into that uncomfortable stage. I'm not sure how much bigger I can stretch and still be able to breath, let a lone move. Things are tight and unfortunately that also has brought along stretch marks for me. Yup that is right, 3 little lines showed up on the lower portion of my belly late last week. ugh! ha ha I was hoping to not get any this time round. Wishful thinking, I am very well aware!

I have gained a good portion of weight...the scale and I have become BIG enemies! I am always hungry, have no energy, have a hard time finding a comfortable position to sleep-although I still am sleeping well once asleep. I am craving right now, ice water, juice, lemonade, and cinnamon apple sauce-delish! I feel really large lately, like all of a sudden this belly has shot out significantly! I am still working full time, but have been trying to sit as much as possible. I can not bend over anymore, well at least if I want to breath and not die in pain! I'm measuring right on and everything looks and sounds great!!!!

I had to go to the cardiologist for some testing a few weeks ago, thanks to a day of weird heart beats. I had an echo and an EKG done, both of which turned out normal, thank goodness! And no weird heart beats since, weird! 

I am on my 2 week appointments now and am so relieved that we have made it this far! We are continually thankful that this pregnancy is still just that, a pregnancy! There are lots of changes coming our way with-in the next 2.5 months, and we look forward to each of them! 

Maternity Pictures

I had maternity pictures taken at 30 weeks by Karly Leavitt. It was a lot of fun, mixed in with a little awkward moment every now and then. I mean, you are sitting there by yourself and all haha. I got my pictures back today, and I love them!!! I'm so happy that I had them done, and that I made Mike be apart of them! Thanks Karly!

Only 9 weeks left and we will get to hold this little guy in our arms! I can't wait!!

The newest updates on life:

 With a combination of a busy last few weeks and no Internet, blogging has not been making an appearance. Lots to up date on.

First off, today I hit 29 weeks along. What a relief!!! Last week was filled with anxiety for me, I was in constant worry of something happening....but thankfully it didn't! Now I can relax, a little at least!

I can fill my body changing daily.  The stretch marks are slowly showing up, my hips are widening, my body aches most nights, my headaches have returned as well as the blasted heartburn, my belly button has officially become an outie, I can't touch my toes any longer, it hurts to bend over, and clothes are starting to not fit-even if they just fit a week or so ago. The joys of pregnancy!! I have really tried to not complain as much as possible, because this is what I have been praying for...but some-days are better than others. This baby is very active, which I love! He is constantly swimming back and forth, and kicking me all over the place! He dislikes when I sit, he just hits and kicks me the entire time. You can watch my stomach go all over the place at night, and even see his little hands/feet when he kicks extremely hard. 

On Feb 1st we had a little scare in which sent me to the hospital. The day had been good, nothing out of the ordinary really. Until I returned back to the hotel that night, we were getting our plates ready for a delicious meal a neighbor had prepared for us when out of no where I was doubled over in pain. The pain lightened but stayed for the entire meal. When I was done eating my dad suggested that I call my doctor and see what he wanted me to do. I called the answering service and explained the pain I was having. The pain of crazy intense on my right side, down there. I also had been 'leaking' for lack of better terms, for the past two days. Dr. Oldroyd explained that he wanted me to go be check out at the hospital. So off I went. I met Mike in the parking lot and we checked in and immediately were hooked up to monitors, and had test ran. We sat there for about an hour and a half, we chatted with our very nice nurse and just listened to our babies heartbeat like crazy! That sound was joyous! He hated the monitor on him, he kept kicking it and trying to swim away from it.

The test came back and the results showed that I was not in labor, that the baby much have hit my right side round ligament, causing me sever pain. It also showed that I wasn't leaking amniotic fluid, but rather peeing my pants....gross! I think that is seriously so sick, and I don't understand how you can't tell your peeing but the nurse explained to me that it's very commune for pregnant women to have a slight leak every now and then. I still think it's nasty. But with these results we were discharged and sent out the door, happy campers! I was given some strongly recommended advice from the nurse and from my doctor, I now have to sit as much as possible to keep the stress off of my lower half. And I also need to get more fluids in my system, I guess I was very dehydrated. I can handle that, although it is difficult to sit....don't they know how big my to do list is!!!!

26 weeks

Also new in our lives: Moving day happened! On Feb 3, 2012 the moving trucks came and started moving our belongings out of the house. We also got to move into our rental house the same day. The rental house in just the field over from our home, which is convenient. We have been in the rental for a week now, living on the basics. Haha it's been interesting, but sooo nice to be in a house! We have all rental stuff in the house, down the can opener and toilet bowl cleaner! It's funny what you realize you need at random times! We are grateful for everything the insurance company has provided us with, however August can't get here soon enough! 

As for everything else in life, Mike and I have been house hunting and think we have found our home. We placed on offer on it yesterday, however there is also another current offer in on it, so we will see what happens. We are supposed to know by Tuesday...wish us luck!

It is official, my belly button is gone. It is no more! It's so weird to look at and to feel.

 That's right people, the Jorgensens are having another boy and we couldn't be more excited!

We went to the doctor on Wednesday the 21st of Dec for our 20 week ultrasound, we were wanting to know the gender of this little one however he didn't make it one bit easy for us! haha I say it's karma coming back to us because we weren't spreading the news until Friday at a family party...so the baby said "if your not going to tell, i'm not either". haha however at the very last second of the ultrasound we all three believe a little wee wee popped up onto the screen! The doctor says he is 90% it's a boy, so Mike and I are going with that! We feel good about bringing another little fella into this family/world. The baby looks healthy and is growing on schedule, actually a little ahead of schedule. They have moved my due date up a week to the 3rd of May! We are so eternally grateful that things look good. All things(besides the infection, in which we can't test for until the baby is out of the womb) that went wrong last time seem to be normal this time. I've been marked as a 'normal' pregnancy at this point! Mike and I are so thankful to hear the words normal in conjunction with our pregnancy! We are excited to see this little fella come May! Now to just agree on a name! 

We told our families last night by giving them each a gift, filled with a little boy outfit! They were happy and excited it was a boy also!

21 weeks

December

December has been a busy and event filled month. Here is a recap of what has happened. 

We stated out by having my Christmas party on the first at Stockmans Restaurant, then on the 3rd I went to SLC with my M-I-L Colette for Dr. McCords shop hop and spent way more money than I should have! haha Then we celebrated our 3rd anniversary on the 6th!!! We didn't do anything on the actual day but we did celebrate that weekend by heading back down to SLC for Mike's Christmas Party. It was a black tie event, full of food and dancing. Mike and I felt like we were in a club...but with my pregnant swollen feet and the baby bouncing around in my stomach due to how loud the music was we left early. It was a lot of fun though, and we greatly appreciate Mens Wearhouse for all the time and money spent on the event.

 After the party Mike and I headed back to our hotel. The baby was still at it's own dance party however, so we got to really feel the movements and Mike was even able to feel the movement. 

The next day Mike headed back to Idaho Falls for work and my family picked me up to head to family Christmas parties. We went to the Jex party and then on the the Maxfield party. After wards my family headed back to SLC to see the temple lights. I love the temple lights in temple square!!

 The next day was Sunday, so we went to The Sounds of Sunday in the conference center. It was wonderful! The Tabernacle Choir is amazing and I loved hearing them sing Christmas Carols.

 then December lead us to working our tails off, gathering gifts, eating lots of Christmas goodies, and enjoying the remainder of our holiday season! This week brings lots of exciting events; namely finding out the gender and celebrating the Birth of our Savor!!! I look forward to this week was much Joy, excitement, and gratitude. I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!!! 

A bump date!

20 weeks

Well I am really late on this post, since the last time I gave a bump date I was 17 weeks and tomorrow i'll be 20 weeks. Oh well, life is busy and boring all at the same time.

Here is what has been happening with the little recently.

-we have lost of movement. however we have for a while, I just thought it was stomach gas or whatever going on because the movement is really low. It's been so fun to feel all the kicks and hits.

in fact this baby likes to be active(although only when it feels like it) that Mike has even felt a slight movement. It likes to curl up in a ball and have it's bum push on me, which is uncomfortable for me due to where it has decided to grow. But I love it all the same.

-My sickness has pretty much gone away, thank goodness!

-I can not handle marinara sauce, mint, and gum still. They give me major heartburn and a stomach ache.

-I have to go to the bathroom ALL. THE. TIME! like way more this time than with Carter.

- My static nerve has been a major pain in my bum, literally!!!!

-My back, feet, and legs always hurt. And my hip have started to throb. I believe this is all due to my job and being on my feet all day.

-And the most exciting news of all......We find out what this little babies gender is going to be in 6 days!

1/2 still say girl, and the other 1/2 say boy. We will just have to wait and see! We find out the 21st, but will not be spreading the new until Christmas Eve! :) Merry Christmas Ya'll!!!

Thanksgiving for 2011 was such a wonderful day, we got to sleep in a little and then my mom and I started on the remaining items for our feast! This year I made these rolls, along with a pretzel jello salad. Both tasted delish, but next time on the rolls I will know what to do differently.

We lounged around watching movies and eating appetizers, all while in our pj's! We ate around 2pm and oh man was it so tasty!!! My pregnant belly and I enjoyed ever last bite!

 After dinner we cleaned up and headed to the movies to see, Jack and Jill. Over all the movie was funny, if you like Adam Sandler(which Mike and I do). After the movies it was off to the Jorgensens house for Mike and I, to enjoy some more food including pie! We hung out with the family for a little while and then Mike and I headed to Walmart for a jump start on our Black Friday shopping. After Walmart it was off to bed for a few hours, then Mike was up and off to work by 7am and I was out the door for more shopping with my mom and siblings. One of my must stops was to Jo-Ann's, and I scored BIG time! They had there snuggle fleece for baby blankets on sale for $1.49/yard! They are regularly $6.99/yard, that is a big score!

All of my fabric, including some not shown came to a total of $44! That is less than $3 a blanket!!!! I was so excited, and it was totally worth my 3.5 hours of waiting in the line to have my fabric cut!

I am now just 2 gifts away from being completely done with Christmas shopping, thank you to Amazon!

So over all, our Thanksgiving and our day after were both great days!!!

In other news: I am now 17 weeks pregnant, we are 4 weeks from knowing what this babies gender is! half say girl, half say boy. I say I have NO idea this time round, but most likely it's a boy since we keep calling 'it' a 'HE' haha. Either way we LOVE 'it'! We had our monthly appointment last Wednesday and we were able to hear the babies heartbeat, it was still fast, but not as fast as last month. This time we were in the high 150's. There is still no movement felt, but they said it should be coming any time now. I also am proud to say that I have only gained 4 3/4 lbs this entire pregnancy! woop woop! I thought I would be in trouble this time because I've felt so much better and have had more of an appetite, so I was THRILLED when she announced that it was only a 3/4 weight gain.

13 weeks

Week 14! Today I hit my official 1st day of glorious second trimester!!! Let's hope this sickness goes away, and stays away. Actually I am starting to feel better, even with out my pills(I'm done to 1/2 a pill at night only now!). It's mainly at night that I have a harder time, however being active helps. This pregnancy is so different than my first; my hips hurt, feet/legs throb, I have reflux slightly, I've thrown up 1000 X more, I have heartburn bad, I'm way bigger this time round, I'm moody, I feel as if I can say anything and receive no consequences(did anyone else have this issue???), I'm paranoid, I'm calm and relaxed about having a miscarriage-NOTHING can be worse than last time, and the worst symptom off all kissing repulses me! seriously it makes me want to vomit! haha poor Mike!!!

Actually that list makes it all sound bad, but it's really not been. It's just been a completely different pregnancy. Some say that means it's a girl, I say we will see. Next month in fact! The middle to end of December will be my 20 week appointment and we are scheduled for an ultrasound!

I'm not really craving much yet however certain things do sound better than others, some are because I have been told I'm not allowed to eat them due to my pregnancy.

things like:

-butter

-salt

-breads and starches

-lunch meat (this is the one I'm not allowed therefore I crave it more)

-ice water

-ranch dressing with carrots or celery

some things I don't care for are:

-marinara sauce (it gives me heartburn)

-mint anything

-chicken in bigger chunks than just a bite

A New Addition

It's been a while, however nothing much has gone on in our lives. That is until it was finally time to announce our new little 'project'! That's right, we are PREGNANT!!!! Our new little addition is due May 7, 2012!

Mike and I couldn't be more thrilled with a side of nervous with what it to come. We look forward to this little baby being in our lives. We know and except that what ever happens, happens and we know that we will get through this because we have already gone through it. 

Life for me has been nothing but getting up, throwing up, going to work, come home, eat dinner, throw up, and go to bed for the past 13 weeks. I am starting to feel a ton better but partially thanks to the nausea meds Dr. O prescribed for me! I am at 13 weeks and 1 day and getting bigger by the minute. I've only gained 4 3/4 lbs but I am already not fitting into my regular jeans....it may be a long 9 months!

6 weeks

We found out we were expecting on September 2; Mikes birthday. Great present! I had been telling Mike for about 1 week or so that I thought I was pregnant but he didn't believe me. Actually, Mike did not believe me even after taking TWO pregnancy test! haha silly boy!

10 weeks

10 weeks

We had a slight scare at about week 10. I was at work one day when I noticed a slight leak was coming from 'down there'. I called Mike who told me to call Dr. O, I did but Dr. O was out of town for the week so his office sent me to their on call person. Margette Leveritt, she was super wonderful to me and so kind. We did a test to check if it was amniotic fluid, thankfully it turned up negative. She however had me go do an ultrasound to make sure. We went to the Imaging Center later that afternoon and had an ultrasound done.

I sure do love those things, they bring such relief to any soon-to-be momma I believe. The baby looked good, the heart was beating fast and strong and 'it' looked to be growing on schedule! what relief! That night however Margette called me to inform me of what the Dr. reading the ultrasound had found, there was a 2cm tare behind my placenta; she then gave me a list of things I needed to avoid, the hardest one being not lifting anything over 2lbs....um my purse weights over that I'm sure! I was a good girl though and did as I was told.  We then went back to Dr. O's office that next week to talk with him about it, he said that these things are actually fairly common, he said to be careful but not to stress.

12 weeks

We went to our regular appointment two weeks later, which was just this past Wednesday and all restrictions were lifted. He said things look good and he is happy for where we are heading. We also got to listen to babies heart beat again; it was again strong and fast! Super good news! We go back in 1 month for another appointment and then the next one after that we will most likely get to know what this babies gender is! Many people have said they think it's a girl; neither Mike and I really think either way yet but we honestly don't really care. We will be happy with whatever it is, as long as it is healthy!
