Arizona and The Grand Canyon.

I am playing big catch up, yet again. Man will I ever get my act straight and keep things current?? maybe, although don't hold your breath.

Back at the end of October the three of us headed to sunny Arizona for our nephew Alek's baptism.
It was beautifully warm and we loved being able to spend several days with family.
One of the days we were able to visit the Grand Canyon.
Wow, right? It was the first time either Mike or I had ever been, and it was breath taking!

We spent all day walking around, having a tail gate type lunch, seeing crazy people stand on ledges, etc. It was fantastic. It was slightly cold seeing as it was November and all, but that didn't stop us from doing much.

Breathtaking, right???

The rest of the weekend was spent being with family, and being involved with Alek's special day. It started off with a soccer game...yes in November! Then onto the baptism, which was perfect!!
We are so proud of him for choosing to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After the baptism, Mike and the rest of his family had to get into the car and make their way back to ID. I however had a round trip flight ticket, because if you've ever been in a car with T you will know that flying is a better alternative. ha ha. So Saturday night and Sunday morning T and I got spend some quality time with cousins! It was a wonderful trip and I am so grateful that we all 3 got to go, and be apart of such a great experience!

The latest and greatest:

I went to the doctors on Friday for my weekly check up. Things went well, babies heart rate was strong and high. I am measuring right on, if not just a little larger. I decided that this could be a true Jorgensen baby, when the Dr. mentioned the number 8lbs while we were talking about him possibly being a "bigger baby". Yikes! hah I'm thinking that, that wouldn't be all that nice. When you go from a 2lbs-er baby, then jump to 8lbs...they should slowly increase, not jump 6lbs! I am dilated to a full 2cm now. Doc says that we probably have another 1-2 weeks. I'm not holding my breath though, I'm going to plan on having to be induced. So that if I do go early I can be happily surprised!

I had another NST yesterday and things went great! Best one yet as far as baby goes!
They said that baby was exceptional during his test!!! I am still contracting, all day and night in fact.
During our test I was contracting about every 3-7 minutes or so, but they are not concerned due to how far along I am. Oldroyd said that he won't stop anything from here on out if I decide to go on my own.

In other news, things with the house are coming along nicely. We aren't moved in yet, but we do have quite a bit of our things moved in. I need to get some pictures of the process. Thanks to Mike, our families and some a-maz-ing friends we now have our master bedroom painted, the kitchen ceiling painted, the kitchen put together, the shelves in the garage stabilized, the half (useless) entryway wall removed, and the babies room 90% set up and ready! We are taking it slowly, no hurry right now. We figure we will get there when we do, although hopefully sooner rather than later. haha we will see.

My uncle Kent had a heart attack yesterday, he is in a 24 hour medicated comma right now. We will continue to keep him in our thoughts and prays, and we ask that you do the same. We will know more either tomorrow or Tuesday. All our love goes out to him and his family at this time!

Also yesterday, our niece Jayni was baptized!!! I was not able to attend due to it being in Boise, but Mike was able to have the day off to go and be apart of her special day! We hope she knows just how special she is and how much we love her!! Congrats Jayni!!!

And finally, Happy Easter today! It's been a great day! I have really been able to ponder on what this day is truly about, I think this is the first time in my life to actually be able to grasp thee entire concept of what happened some 2000 years ago. It's been wonderful, and I hope you have been able to ponder on the meaning as well! Happy Easter!!!!!!

A Recap of the Year 2011

2011 has been a great year for us, full of ups and downs. We have learned a lot this past year, and have risen above and conquered.  Here are some high lights of our year.

Mike and I headed to Vegas in February with our friends, the Walkers. We had a great time being on a mini vacation, and the weather was so wonderful!
March brought living with Megan's parents for 1 year! Aren't they so lucky!!!
April brought us a new niece! Clare Sophia Stockhoff!!
June brought sadness when we lost Grandpa Jorgensen, Mike was pretty broken up about his loss.
July brought Megan's 23rd birthday, celebrated with Coco Bean Red Velvet cup cakes and a good family BBQ filled with all her favorite foods!
It was a big month in July because we also welcomed home Megan's little brother, Jordan, home from his mission to Chile. As well as the arrival of Brynnlee Nicole Walker, Megan's best friend Amy and her hubby Mitch welcomed Brynnlee into their family!
in August Mike and I celebrated Carter's 1st birthday, as well as his one year Angel day! We celebrated with sending balloons off into the heavens! It was a great day, and then a hard day to follow a couple days later.
In September, Mike Celebrated 24 years of life! His birthday was filled with golfing, and a family BBQ to end the night!

We also received big news on Mikes birthday, the news that we were expecting! We were going to try at this family thing again, We would be due in May!!!
December brought the news that we were expecting a boy, it also brought holiday work parties, family parties, friends parties. It brought Christmas and our 3 year anniversary!!!!

We have been truly blessed in 2011, and are so thrilled to look forward to new adventures in 2012!
There are so many new and exciting things planned for 2012 and we can't wait to get started!
Happy New Years!!!!

Christmas 2011

Well Christmas 2011 has come and gone. All of our family has left back to their homes, and the decorations have come down. Christmas was good this year, although for some reason it didn't feel like it normally does. This year was the Jex Christmas turn:

Friday night we went to the Jorgensen family Christmas party, it was fun to see everyone and enjoy some good food and company. We also played some really fun games, and won some great prizes!

Christmas Eve was with the Jex's. We did our traditional Chinese food with the Matrinson family, then back to the house for more goodies, opening our Christmas jammies, and watching 'The Christmas Story". A classic at our house! We also tracked the big man himself thanks to smart phones. We stayed up way to late, laughing and having a good time.

Christmas Day we got up, went to Church, came home and ate some goodies to tide us over because my siblings were DIEING to open gifts. We did the gift thing, had a delicious breakfast of waffles, eggs, chocolate milk, and bacon. Then it was nap time! Mike and I slept for a good 3 hours, I guess we were tired. After the naps, we played with the gifts we received(well some of us did.) then it was time to start dinner...we ate prim rib! It was so good, and we ate every bite of it. After dinner Mike and I ran over to his parents house, to open sibling gifts with everyone. It was fun to see what everyone had received this year. After gifts were opened we all hung out and relaxed, played, and just talked.

I received this year:
the rest of my Willow tree Nativity Collection, two pairs of shoes, two types of ear warmers, two scarves, a Christmas book for Mike and I's family collection, a few gift cards, candy, and a family game.
 Mike received:
a gamer chair, an x-box station, an x-box controller, candy, body sprays, a suit hanger for his truck, some tie holders, Dr. pepper, gift cards, some tools, and a cardinals golf towel.
As the day went on, I found myself thinking of "what could have been". We should have had a 16 month old with us, but we didn't. I'm thankful for our Saviors birth this season, so that one day we can all be together again! We had a wonderful Christmas, and really look forward to next year when we will have a little one to join in the fun!

Auntie Megs Play Day!

I got to spend parts of my day last Tuesday with these two cute boys! It was such a blast. Stacie got into town and we were able to go to lunch at Costa Vita. It was so fun to see her, and to hold this little boy! He is cute, and tiny! He also is a good fake outer with his almost cries, and he is a squirm-er...but I love him!!!
Logan Couch at 1.5 months old
Then later that night the our star valley friends came to visit and we got to play with Kaysen!
This little boy started out with a rough start but now he is so fun! He was laughing, and talking, and rolling all over!!! We are so happy that this little boy decided that being happy is much better then being sad! And we are so happy that his mom and dad decided to come over and stay with us, even just for one night!!!! We loved seeing and spending time with all three of them!
Kaysen Tippettes at 6 months old

I love these two boys, and hope that one day they will either be great friends with our little one, OR date her if it's a girl!!!!! Thanks for sharing your boys with me Stac and Lex!!!!

This auntie couldn't be any more excited!
She is FINALLY here, Brynnlee Nicole Walker made her grand appearance on Friday July 22, 2011 at 2:13am in Idaho Falls and EIRMC. She weighted 7 pounds 2 oz and was 20 inches long. She has all 10 finger and 10 toes and a great amount of dirty dishwater hair. She is super cute and a good natured baby. She is a great sleeper and tries to even sleep while being feed, much to her mommas dismay. She is so fun to have here and Mike and I love her to death all ready! We can't wait to watch this sassy pants little girl grow up. Congratulations Mitch and Amy!
We are so proud of you and love you guys! Love you Bryn!
Byrnnlee Nicole Walker

I have loved being able to go to the hospital to visit Amy and hold little Bryn, I even have said
"Watch out Olsen's and Walkers you may have to fight me to get to hold this precious baby!"
haha that how loved this little girl is.
and yes there have been a few "arguments"  um discussions as to who's 'turn' it is...
Mom is doing great, healing well and catching on to this momma thing well. She had quite the labor and the poor girl was so miserable but she did awesome! Mom and baby get to go home tomorrow and the three of them will get to start their own adventure all by themselves, ok not really all but partially.

WE LOVE YOU BRYNNLEE!!!

I can't figure out why this isn't loading right...grrrr. Here is Uncle Mike and Bryn

Megan's Great Moving Adventure-part one

Well I'm home, actually I've been home for a week as of today. My 'spring break' was good, full of memories and lots of driving. Here is my tail of the adventure.

My parents took me down to SLC on Monday night, we got there late-11:00pm, and I had to be at the air port by 5:30am. I quickly showered and got ready for bed, only to find that the beds we stayed on were horrible! with a capital H. Every time anyone moved in the slightest you heard it, and they were as hard as rocks. Anyways enough about that. I woke up early! like 4:45am! that's before air as Grandma Jorgensen would say! Mom took me to the airport, I got all checked in and ready for my flight.

Now here is a side note, but a very needed detail to my tail.

I was taken off my anxiety pills the Wednesday before, I hadn't had any issues and thought life would be great. Well Monday as I was loading my stuff into the car a panic attack hit...

oh no right! right! let the fun begin!!!

(back to the adventure)

I left the SLC airport at 7:10am, found my seat

(located next to the man who had SO kindly just smoked before getting on),

got settled in, and FORCED myself to sleep-

the panic attacks/shakiness/dizziness had begun.

I arrived in Phoenix AZ, waited for my next plane, grab breakfast to munch on, prayed I would calm down, then loaded onto my second plan where I found myself seated next to a very friendly black gentleman. He was very kind to me, when the 3rd person sitting on our row 'no showed' he moved over so we each could have our space.

This ride was the longest and only lasted about 2 hours and 45 mins.

I did good on this ride, just played on my touch and listened to music blare in my ears.

I arrived in St. Louis, MO where I fast walked it ALL THE WAY ACROSS the airport, had to RE check in/go through security then found my gate. I learned at this point(after going through the 2nd security) that there were no restaurants available near me...just Starbucks. I was hungry and knew I would need to eat for this last plan ride. I had been Warned by my mother-in-law who had just taken this plane twice only 2 days before me. I ate all my snacks I had thought to bring(thank goodness) and grab a smoothie at the Starbucks(grosss!). The anxiety was KILLING me at this point. grrr you stupid anxiety. I could concentrate, I was shaking and dizzy-I tried to rest but it did nothing.

Now for the fun part, I thought as I saw my last plane pull up.

A little 8 passenger cigar plane if you will....OH BOY!

I'll skip you the glory details but needless to say, that smoothie tasted nasty the second time, third, and fourth! yup, you read that right...I lost my cookies 4 times on that blasted ride. It was HORRIBLE and I will NEVER do it again! Because of their size they have to fly through everything, we were dropping like we were on a twisting roller coaster.

I made it to Fort Leonard wood about 4:40pm there time. I ran to the bathroom to try and pull myself together before I met my sister-in-law and her little family(yes I put a piece of gum in!). Then the moment came...I got to meet Clare and see Noah! I really enjoyed them both!

After that we went to this good BBQ place where we were Welcomed by a tornado warning, ate some good food, and went back to their home(which was basically empty), I got to play with Noah, cuddle Clare, oh and learned that my phone had gone to phone heaven-kinda.

Here are some pics of us and Clare while they were in Idaho Falls.

(that part of the story and more to come.) She's stunning right? I agree. I love how tiny and small she is!

She was 7 lbs 7oz and 20" long.

We love her already! A LOT!!!

I get to meet her in one week, and I can not wait!
