Easter Weekend Recap.

Easter weekend was filled with lots of fun this year. When T's was diagnosed last year, as a parents we slightly mourned not only for him, but for what we thought he would miss out on. Well a whole lot has changed in this past year, including our worries. We have been welcomed with open and UN-judging arms into the special needs community.  We were informed this year of a special egg hunt a business here in town puts on for kids with all sorts of issues, as well as 'typical' children.
I was beyond excited when I not only heard this, but heard that there would be a wheelchair only race! I knew T would care less if we went or not, and honestly wouldn't have ever known the difference, but I loved being able to be apart of something so neat!

The 'race' was on Saturday morning, at Journeys. T and I loaded up the chair and went over to meet up with some of our new special friends.

There were only 4 children in chairs, and 1 little girl in a walker, so needless to say the kids SCORED!
We gave most of our candy haul away to the other children since T can't/doesn't eat by mouth. We  honestly both had a great time! Me being able to chat and meet so many more women in my shoes,  and T being able to people watch till his heart was content. What a neat privilege it is to be apart of something so great and so challenging at the same time!

Sunday we woke up, ate breakfast and got ready for church. As hard as I tried to really reflect on our Savior and the true meaning of the day, I'll be honest and say it didn't happen as much as it should have. But I am TRULY grateful for the real meaning of Easter and for all that Christ did for me, and my family!

I'm disappointed that we weren't able to take a family photo, because we all looked so cute and matchy! But here is T, all dressed up and as handsome as ever!!

After church we got to see what the Easter bunny had brought us....T got Easter books, dum-dums and play-do for therapy, and a few movies.

And since T is now full time in nursery, we will start getting little projects! This is something that really makes me happy about. Here is bunny T!

After naps we went to dinner at Mikes parents. It was yummy as always! Grandma Oakey brought the kids an Easter present, T got 'PJ funny bunny'. Its a Jorgensen family favorite!

It was an amazing weekend, full of fun! For that I am grateful!

This is going to sound weird, but I honestly love T, and I've never met him. There's something so special about him, and it helps that he is beyond adorable, he seriously so handsome. I think you are an incredible mom, he's certainly lucky to have you. Glad your family had such a fun Easter.

I love how happy T looks! He brings a smile to my face every time I see him.
Your nursery does projects?! Sweet! I guess since we have three nurseries in our ward, projects are a little hard to do ;) love it!
