Mens Wearhouse Summer Bash

A few weeks ago Mike's work had their office summer get-together. To celebrate we went to a Chuckers baseball game. Our family loves baseball and so we had a lot of fun.

The office reserved our own little section off of the third base line, which made for a great view.
The Chuckers were playing the minor league team for the Colorado Rockies, which happens to be Mike's bosses favorite team....which made for a passionate, but fun night.

The game went into extra innings, and with Trenton still recovering we scooted out early. But it was fun being around some of Mike's co-workers for the evening.

Mountain River Ranch

December 20, 2012
This year for Christmas our group of friends decided no not buy gifts for each other, but rather go on an 'adults only' couples date. We wanted to do something fun and festive.

So on December 20, 12 we all headed up to Mountain River Ranch. It's a ranch up in the mountains here in Idaho. It's an actual working ranch, but they also specialize in dinner and a performance. During the Christmas season they do slay rides up to the lodge, it's slightly magical.

There wasn't enough snow to do slay rides up to the lodge, but we did get to be pulled in a wagon by horses. It was a FREEZING night, but we had a ton of fun! Once in the lodge we had a little pre dinner entertainment preformed by family members of the owners of the ranch. We chatted and then ate dinner, it was great food! The cheesecake for dessert was DEVINE!

Then it was time for the performance. The group consists of four men who all are Idaho falls community members. They sang, acted, and really entertained us! They were great!!!
I think it's safe to say that we all enjoyed ourselves during the evening, especially since we didn't have to fight our kids during the evening.

Mike and I would like to go back with Trenton and our families...maybe next year!

We love getting all dressed up and going to play these games, it has become a tradition for all 8 of us to play every October. We had so much fun, and can not wait until next year!

Witch's Night Out

When we lived in my parents ward they have this tradition every Halloween, Witch's night out.
All the women go out to dinner dressed as witch's! It was a blast every time! So this year came around and I realized that I will not get to take part in that tradition any longer, so I decided that I would start my own tradition with my friends! Thus I give to you the first annual witch's night out!

4th of July!

4th of July is a big deal around here. Idaho does it BIG and we savor each and every tradition of the day. Since getting married we have had to both give up and combine traditions, but I believe we have a great "schedule" for our fourths.

The day started out early with the Breakfast on the Boulevard. We always enjoy our pancakes, ham and eggs! This year the mickey mouse pancakes were DIVINE!

After breakfast was the parade.
Although the parade is turning into a lot of advertisement we still enjoy it!

Trenton found his ears earlier this week, during the parade he kept grabbing them to sleep.

I love this picture, I think it looks so cool!
After the parade we went back to The Jorgensens for the annual BBQ.
No pictures from this, but we ate our afternoon away while enjoying lots of family fun!

After that we went to The Jex's for some 4-wheel riding! Again no pictures, but we really did have a lot of fun and really enjoyed ourselves.

following that we went to our adopted Grandma and Grandpa's the Searles. Gma and Gpa S our actually our great friend Amy's real grandparents. They invite us each year out for an evening BBQ, and we graciously except each year! We always have a good time!

After the evening BBQ we headed for the firework show. Idaho Falls has the best fireworks in the north west, and they did not disappoint by any means! However, on the walk down to the river Mike came down with the flu and boy oh boy was he miserable!  Poor Guy. He was a champ though and stuck it out to let T and I enjoy ourselves. Trenton was great for the show! He half slept, half watched the entire 30 min show. I think he really had a great first 4th of July!!!!

Trenton's Blessing Day

We blessed Trenton yesterday, Sunday June 3, 2012. It was such a great day, and the spirit was so strong! Mike gave a beautiful blessing, full of amazing promises and wishes. We were able to be blessed with so many family and friends in attendance, and we are so grateful they came to support us. Thank you to all of those people who came, especially those who traveled to be with us!

After the meeting we went back to Mike and I's home for a luncheon, which was delicious if I do say so myself! We ate chicken salad sandwiches, rolls, several different kinds of salads, veggies, blueberry jello, sugar cookie bars, cupcakes, and brownies. Yum!
